Next generation storage platform for media content distribution
San Francisco, CA – February 27, 2014 Scality, an established leader in petabyte scale software-defined enterprise class storage based on object technology, announced that servercentral has chosen Scality for its next generation storage platform for media content distribution.
Servercentral is a global provider of Cloud and IT infrastructure solutions. The company sought to offer a next-generation “Origin Delivery” solution by using a commercial, S3-compatible offering that enables its optimized origin servers in a high performance networking infrastructure to stream tens to hundreds of gigabits of content. Servercentral’s system is architected to support the company’s content distribution partners – organizations requiring high scalability, high performance and guaranteed data durability from their origins.
