New customers came from across the United States, Western Europe, and Japan in the banking and finance, media and entertainment, manufacturing, and industrial design markets, with Scality capturing four of the world’s fifteen largest banks.
“2016 was a banner year for Scality. We were named a global leader in the distributed file system and object storage markets by the two leading industry analyst firms, we established sales coverage in Japan and Germany, deepened our C-level bench with industry trailblazers, released innovative new Scality RING object storage and S3 Server products, and aggressively expanded revenue through our alliance and channel partners,” said Jérôme Lecat, CEO at Scality. “We have primed the engine for an explosive, growth-fueled new year.”
Pivotal product launches resulted in more than 240 petabytes of capacity shipped last year. The introduction of Scality S3 Server for Scality RING drove exceptional revenue growth seen through the year in the enterprise cloud space. Furthering its ability to uniquely inspire the S3 community, Scality joined the AWS Partner Network and put S3 on-premises, releasing the Scality Open Source S3 Server to the AWS Marketplace which has garnered 142,000 downloads to date.
