A Leader In Gartner Magic Quadrant For Distributed File Systems And Object Storage
San Francisco, CA – October 02, 2019 – Scality, leader in software for distributed file and object storage and multi-cloud data control, today announced that it has, for the fourth consecutive year, been recognized by Gartner, Inc. as a Leader in the 2019 Magic Quadrant for Distributed File Systems and Object Storage.
Placed in the Leaders quadrant, Scality believes that it continues to demonstrate its value through real-world deployments that bring huge value to customers.
In the report, Gartner notes that “The steep growth of unstructured data for emerging and established workloads is now requiring products driven by infrastructure software-defined storage (ISDS) that are capable of delivering tens of petabytes of storage and can potentially leverage hybrid cloud workflow with public cloud IaaS.”
“We see Scality’s Leader position in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for File Systems and Object Storage as a very strong validation of the value that Scality RING software-defined storage brings to our customers–today and in the future–across a wide range of applications, requirements and environments,” said Jérôme Lecat, Scality’s CEO. “In our view, the fact that we’ve been positioned as a Leader since this Magic Quadrant’s inception–for four years running–is a testament to Scality’s ability to deliver what customers need today, with a steady eye toward what they’ll need in the future. We believe that Gartner’s characterization of the market is in line with Scality’s vision. Our robust object-based storage capabilities, with native file capabilities that broaden the utility, and practical hybrid cloud functionality enable enterprises to simplify the complexities that surround data management and focus on extracting the value of that data to meet real business goals.”
