Building on its Momentous success in the americas region, Scality welcomes Michelle Rockler, VP of strategic alliances, and Wally MacDermid, VP of cloud business development

San Francisco, CA – September 12, 2017 Scality, a world leader in object and cloud storage, today announced it has filled three key Vice President positions in the United States. Michelle Rockler, who joined in July, heads the company’s global strategic alliances organization, which includes partnerships with Cisco, Dell, and HPE. Wally MacDermid, who joined in June, leads the company’s cloud-focused business development efforts as it continues to inspire a new multi-cloud world with its recently-announced Scality Zenko Multi-cloud Controller.

As Vice President of Strategic Alliances, Michelle Rockler is responsible for building and scaling Scality’s global strategic alliances and partnerships. Rockler is a results-oriented leader with a track record of managing partnership teams and delivering revenue growth. Rockler brings more than twenty years’ experience across a broad spectrum of technology leaders in big data, cloud, data protection, server and virtualization. Prior to Scality, she led award-winning relationships with Cisco and Microsoft and managed ecosystem alliances at NetApp, Barracuda Networks (Yosemite Technologies) and Dell EMC (Legato). Rockler is based in Scality’s San Francisco headquarters.

“Wally MacDermid joins right as we launch our Zenko cloud controller product line, which builds on our leading Scality RING file and object storage product and expands our value-add for customers in the new multi-cloud era,” added Menard.

MacDermid fills the newly-created global role of VP of Cloud Business Development. He focuses on developing go-to-market strategies for Scality’s cloud solutions, bringing a deep understanding of the enterprise software infrastructure space and the proven ability to cultivate business with public cloud leaders. He most recently led the go-to-market strategy for Riverbed’s AWS-focused business. Prior to that he concentrated on business development, strategic alliances, and marketing roles at multiple startups; most notably Onaro, which was acquired by NetApp. MacDermid is based in Scality’s San Francisco headquarters.
