San Francisco, CA – November 12, 2019
Scality, leader in software for distributed file and object storage and multi-cloud data control, today announced that it is enhancing its channel strategy in EMEA to support the growth that the company is experiencing, and open even more opportunity for Scality and its partners. 100% channel-centric, Scality is reinforcing its commitment by adding channel professionals Frédéric Saldes, in the new role of Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA) channel director; and Doug Williams, also in a new role, Northern Europe channel director. The two will support channel success and company growth by further strengthening the channel network in these regions.
Continued growth in unstructured data—which is widely considered to make up 80% of the world’s growing pool of data that IDC predicts will grow from 33 zettabytes in 2018 to 175 zettabytes by 2025—is sparking a massive increase in demand for the data storage and orchestration solutions that help manage that data and keep it intact. Specialist consultants and resellers recognize that distributed file and object storage and multi-cloud data control are the answer, and that Scality is in a unique position to solve the broader unstructured data challenges where data comes from modern (object) applications as well as legacy file-based ones, for use with on-premises and cloud-based applications and storage solutions.
“This perfect storm of massive amounts of unstructured data and the need to preserve and keep it usable and available has increased the demand for Scality’s RING and Zenko technologies. Solutions providers need solid, supportable solutions for today’s data-driven organizations. In these newly-created roles, Saldes and Williams will be able to expand our reach, accelerating partners’ business growth with Scality,”
said Emilio Roman, Scality’s senior vice president of international sales.
Led by Roman and his team, including Saldes and Williams, Scality is driving close collaboration with partners through enhanced training and compelling sales and marketing initiatives as it expands. Prior to joining Scality, Saldes held the position of senior director channel sales for EMEA, India and CIS at Impinj, and Williams, of regional channel manager for Scale Computing.
Scality’s network of VARs and SIs are critical to the company’s 100% channel-based sales approach. The success of Scality’s ATLAS partner program is based on a two-way commitment that includes business protection, sales enablement, technical training and joint sales and marketing activities in order to deliver concrete benefits for partners.
