icon-double-hexGUARDIAN, the OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE

The platform watches itself, within rules you set.

Scality ADI is data infrastructure that autonomously and sustainably aligns the right storage media, performance, and protection to each stage of the data lifecycle — at multi-petabyte to exabyte scale.

icon-double-hexWHY INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS MORE THAN MONITORING

Storage at scale outpaces the teams operating it.

Multi-petabyte systems generate more telemetry than humans can read. Maintenance windows shrink. Power costs rise. Security posture has to hold under audit. Headcount does not scale with the system. Operational intelligence does, when it operates inside rules the customer set.

Specialized agents, within the rules you set.

01

Preventive maintenance

The platform reads its own telemetry stream before the workload feels a problem. The data plane generates telemetry at every layer: drives, servers, network, services, application access. A maintenance agent reads the full stream in real time, against the history of the system it has been watching for months, and surfaces what a human would catch only after the SLA dips.

Continuous anomaly detection
Predictive action recommendations
Policy-bounded execution
Scheduled remediation
02

Power efficiency

Power is a hard constraint at modern data center scale. AI and storage push past the budget the rack was provisioned for. Guardian's power agent watches the workload and tunes the platform to consume what's actually being used, not what the platform might use.

Workload-aware tuning
Idle-state management
Power-aware placement
Real-time power telemetry
03

Security posture monitoring

A CISO needs to know at any moment whether the platform is configured correctly, whether it is free of known vulnerabilities, and whether the controls in place are actually enforced. The security posture layer reads platform state continuously against the customer-defined baseline and produces evidence the security team can hand to auditors, regulators, or insurers without a scramble.

Continuous posture monitoring
Configuration drift detection
Audit-ready evidence
CORE5 attestation
04

AI-driven operation

The AI tooling a customer runs across the rest of the environment should also be able to operate the storage. Guardian exposes Scality storage operations through MCP, so customer-side AI can read state, run diagnostics, and recommend or execute approved actions, the same way it operates the rest of the environment.

MCP for platform operation
Read-only by default
Policy-scoped action APls
End-to-end audit

icon-double-hexGUARDIAN ACROSS THE PORTFOLIO

Guardian ships with Scality ADI today. The portfolio comes next.

Guardian is what makes Scality ADI an architecture rather than just a platform. Guardian management of RING and ARTESCA is planned for a future release.

GUARDIAN PRIMARY AFFINITY

Scality ADI ships with four Guardian agents today. Preventive maintenance, power efficiency, security posture monitoring, and MCP-based AI operation are platform capabilities, not add-ons. Every action runs through customer-defined policy.

On the roadmap

RING is the second product on the Guardian roadmap. Preventive maintenance and security posture monitoring are expected first, given RING's installed-base scale.

SCALITY ARTESCA

On the roadmap

The Guardian framework is being extended to ARTESCA on the roadmap. Today ARTESCA participates in audit evidence via CORE5 attestations; Guardian agent coverage follows.
