Eric Craig joins Scality as North American Sales Director to strengthen East Coast Presence
San Francisco – 4th April 2011 – Cloud storage system pioneer Scality welcomes Eric Craig, a seasoned business leader and technology sales expert, to its global team. Craig joins Scality as North American Sales Director, supporting the company’s increasing momentum in the market and leadership in delivering a next-generation, cloud-scale storage infrastructure.
A consistently high achiever in the sales of IT services, software, and integrated solutions, Eric Craig will be responsible for all sales activities in North America. He comes to Scality from SunGard Availability Services, a $1.5B enterprise software company providing cloud security and disaster recovery where, as Vice President of Sales, he developed a highly productive channel and reseller network. Prior to that, while at Current Analysis, Craig delivered six straight quarters of growth. Earlier in his career he led the building of a new sales organization for Cable & Wireless/SAVVIS and led the Qwest Communications launch into advanced IP services, building and leading a team that generated $2.2M revenue in 1 year. Jérôme Lecat and Eric Craig crossed paths in the late nineties, while both at UUNET, where Eric was the most successful Regional Sales Manager.

Eric J. Craig is a high achiever in the sales of IT services, software, and integrated solutions. An exemplary professional with deep experience spanning 20 years of technology sales, he has demonstrated great skill in opening new markets and closing new deals. Prior to joining Scality, Eric was VP of Sales at a private company with $1.5B in annual sales. Eric is known for building sales teams that consistently outperform quotas. For Telecom giant, Qwest Communications, his team hit 237% of quota. While at UUNET Technologies Eric’s team contributed to the company’s explosive growth (from $98M in 1996 to $3.6B in 2000) as a top performer in B2B sales of networking services. He has also been a powerful producer at other technology companies including Cable and Wireless. Eric has a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Minor in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University.
