This guide details the steps required to configure a load balanced Scality RING environment utilizing Loadbalancer appliances. It covers the configuration of the load balancers and also any Scality RING configuration changes that are required to enable load balancing.
The Loadbalancer appliance can be deployed as a virtual appliance.
To achieve the best level of performance and throughput when load balancing a Scality RING deployment, the Loadbalancer appliance should be configured to actively use multiple CPU cores for the load balancing process. This must be considered when initially deploying and sizing virtual appliances.
