Matthieu Baret is a Partner in the Venture Capital team working mainly in the telecoms/media and software sectors where he has overseen around fifteen investments.
He is also responsible for Idinvest Partners’ ESG policy and is a member of the UN-PRI (United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment) Private Equity Steering Committee. He also regularly lectures on entrepreneurship at the CentraleSupélec engineering school.
Before joining Idinvest Partners in 2005, Matthieu was VP with responsibility for M&A and business development at Italtel, a subsidiary of Cisco and Telecom Italia. Before that he worked for Europatweb, an investment firm founded by Bernard Arnault, and Cap Gemini Telecom. Matthieu began his career in 1994 at Bouygues Telecom, where he helped set up and launch the mobile network.
Matthieu has a degree from CentraleSupélec, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech (Atlanta, USA) and an MBA from INSEAD.
